Bionic Architecture
It's a kind of a floating building (platform type) and represents scuba diving school. The forms and the design are inspired by tha Manta ray (fish). The whole structure is covered by grass.

Great idea! And quite applicable as a passive solar home or business, too <3

The bionic architecture label, does that come just from the grass on the exterior with the future tech aesthetic, or is there more to that? Also, why so massive, what's the program? Should put up some sections maybe.

Well first this is watercolor and it's scanned, and there is little adjustment on the colors in PS. For the Bionic- "Bionic architecture is a movement for the design and construction of expressive buildings whose layout and lines borrow from natural (i.e. biological) forms."(copied from wikipedia). I think you get it now ;p it's making structures and buildings inspired from nature forms, ofc. they are ecofriendly and efficient. The Bionic in general isnt just for architecture it has various points of development in different areas of development :):) It tries to copy nautre mechanisms and import them in the human inventions for the good of the Earth, cuz they are allready diveloped million of years and we can only try to copy them to learn how they work and etc...this is very long topic :)

Well yes, that's what brought up my question in the first place. I knew the term bionic, but I was wondering if it was just your own way of saying organic architecture, or if there was some nuanced difference between the two that was being left out. Usually bionic is more in reference to using natural systems to achieve more mechanical processes. Such as the bionic man to be cliche? Mechanical man made pieces used to achieve what would normally be a biological process, or inspired by something achieved in nature. To refer to your wiki article as well... "Examples of bionics in engineering include the hulls of boats imitating the thick skin of dolphins; sonar, radar, and medical ultrasound imaging imitating the echolocation of bats." In other words, organic architecture integrates itself into the environment, inspires in form by the environment and context. Bionic Architecture, based off these definitions, I would then assume would mean architecture that aims to solve problems using a method discovered or inspired by how nature aims to solve that same problem.

Yup, that is the idea... I hope more people to think about these ways of development. Well for me, yes I agree with you and I hope the future won't be so dark like everyone is expecting :)
